Scramb is a game by the creator of branon.dev ↗. This policy explains the data used to run the game.
WHAT WE COLLECT
If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account ID, name, email address, and profile image. We store your saved game progress, submitted words, scores, and daily attempts with your account ID. Guest progress stays in your browser's local storage; signed-in progress may also be cached there.
HOW WE USE IT
We use this data to sign you in, sync your runs across devices, verify ranked scores, and show your own history and ranked leaderboards. Public rankings show only your Google given name and family initial (or “Player” if unavailable), verified points, rank, and for all-time rankings your games played and average. Other players do not receive your account ID, email, full name, or individual word history through leaderboards.
COOKIES & SERVICE PROVIDERS
Sign-in uses session cookies. The production site also uses Google Analytics, which may use cookies or similar technologies to measure visits and usage. Google provides sign-in and analytics, Vercel hosts the site, and Neon stores signed-in runs. Those services may process technical data under their own privacy terms.
RETENTION & YOUR CHOICES
We keep account-linked runs and rankings to provide your history and daily comparisons; there is no automatic deletion schedule. You can clear guest data in your browser settings and sign out at any time. To ask about access to or deletion of account-linked data, reach us through branon.dev ↗. Removing a score may change historical comparisons.
SECURITY & CHANGES
We use the safeguards provided by our hosting and sign-in services, but no online service is completely secure. Scramb is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the game changes and will revise the date above.
